Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Utility Vegetation Management Leader to oversee field crews, drive safety, production, quality, and customer coordination across multiple sites.

You will develop talent, manage contracts, and partner with utility customers while adapting to changing needs and travel across Lewis operating locations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple crews and oversee safety, production, quality, employee development and day-to-day operations.
• Provide General Foreperson oversight, customer and contract accountability, and territory support.
• Drive safe, productive business results and monitor financial/performance metrics.
• Partner with utility customers to align on needs and expectations.
• Develop talent pipelines and succession planning within field teams.
• Lead larger operational teams for broader territories and complex jobs.

Job description

• Build relationships with experienced utility vegetation management leaders for anticipated future Operations leadership needs
• Lead multiple crews and oversee safety, production, quality, employee development, customer coordination and day-to-day operations
• Provide General Foreperson oversight, customer and contract accountability, business management, talent planning and territory support
• Lead larger operational teams and territories
• Manage people, safety, customers, financial and operational performance, workforce planning and business results
• Partner with utility customers
• Drive safe, productive business results
• Connect with the Talent Acquisition team and be considered as leadership opportunities develop

Requirements

• Utility vegetation management, arboriculture, utility services or related field-operations experience
• Demonstrated experience leading field employees and/or multiple crews
• Strong safety leadership and commitment to safe work practices
• Experience coaching, developing and retaining employees
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, employees and operational partners
• Understanding of production, workforce planning, equipment utilization and operational performance
• Strong communication, judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to changing operational and customer needs
• Willingness to travel and/or consider opportunities across Lewis operating locations
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive keystrokes regularly
• Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and lift/move up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain and work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels
• PPE required per OSHA and ANSI standards
