Job summary

Socket.dev in Cullman, AL is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily yard and warehouse operations, drive productivity, reduce shrink, and maintain a safe, well-organized shopping environment for customers.

You will lead one supervisor and a team of 1–15 associates, manage inventory, scheduling, and vendor relations, and ensure adherence to company policies while delivering strong service and profitable performance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school).
• Five to eight years of related experience (three to five years in a supervisory role).
• Ability to act as a strong leader and coach.
• Solid knowledge of point-of-sale systems, basic business accounting, safety, and store security.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Managing one supervisor who oversees 1-15 associates in yard operations.
• Direct supervision of 2-3 other associates and overall unit direction.
• Provide customer service to contractors and builders to grow sales.
• Schedule deliveries, pickups, and returns; oversee unloading of merchandise.
• Monitor inventory, cycle counts, and store/yard maintenance.
• Ensure safety policies, signage, and security standards are followed.
