Job summary

Zūm is hiring a Location Manager to lead transportation operations in Oakland, CA. You will own end-to-end operations from startup to daily management, build high-performing teams, and ensure service excellence while maintaining P&L accountability.

The role requires hands-on leadership, safety discipline, and strong stakeholder relationships with districts and partners. You will direct start-ups, staffing, IT implementation, and fleet readiness, while driving continuous improvement, regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience managing full P&L accountability with operational oversight.
• 5+ years in day-to-day operations in time-sensitive environments.
• Experience scheduling, staffing, planning, and execution.
• 5+ years in client-facing relationships in an operational setting.
• Experience leading salaried leaders and developing teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices, compliance and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead site start-ups for new contracts, hiring, facilities, IT setup.
• Develop training/hiring programs meeting guidelines.
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders through proactive communication.
• Oversee daily operations, scheduling, staffing, and route execution.
• Monitor KPIs via IT infrastructure and manage safety culture.
• Maintain P&L accountability and comply with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with HR, Recruiting, and Safety to plan headcount.
