Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules is preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Multi-tasking orientation and good organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, educate and develop company employees focusing on retention and growth.
• Supervise and direct employee work with a focus on quality, customer deliverables and safety.
• Monitor safety and correct unsafe acts with corrective action as needed.
• Plan daily manpower needs and set schedules to ensure timely freight delivery and pickup.
• Communicate job assignments clearly across teams and ensure direction is understood.
• Monitor service freight and ensure cut time compliance.
• Identify opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies while maintaining safety.
• Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information and setting appointments.
• Gather data for reporting and analyze performance metrics.
• Build relationships with business partners to meet service standards.
