Job summary

Foundation Building Materials is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily branch operations with a focus on safety, service, and results. You will guide the team, develop policies across warehousing, transportation, and customer service, and drive continuous improvement to boost efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years of management experience.
• Knowledge of construction materials and product distribution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience in the building materials industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate overall operations for maximum efficiency.
• Plan and implement policies across warehousing, transportation, and customer service.
• Design and manage dispatch systems to improve logistics.
• Implement operational changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and manage operating budgets for warehouse, manufacturing, and transportation functions.
• Ensure trucking operations comply with DOT regulations.
• Oversee warehouse conditions, equipment, storage utilization.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
• Research and implement technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information.
• Perform other duties to support objectives.
