Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an Operations Leader in Jacksonville to oversee location facilities and delivery/warehousing operations. You will drive efficiency, training, and compliance while coordinating with multiple departments to meet customer needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in lumber/building materials, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a focus on cost control and safety. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years of directly related experience in lumber/building materials.
• Knowledge of building materials, procurement, inventory management and supervision of people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of delivery and warehousing functions.
• Manage budgets and control operating costs to meet targets.
• Plan operations strategies and setting department priorities for smooth product flow.
• Monitor performance including on-time deliveries, back orders, hours worked, shipments received.
• Resolve process, cost, order, maintenance, and inventory issues impacting customer service.
• Coordinate staffing across Warehouse, Shipping, Yard, Office and Purchasing.
• Support training programs for drivers, yard staff, and supervisors.
• Foster cross-department collaboration with Production, Sales, Finance and others.
• Ensure safe operating practices per DOT/OSHA and company policies.
