Job summary

Old Dominion Brush Company LLC (ODB) in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, materials management, shipping/receiving, machine utilization, quality standards, plant capacity and Lean initiatives.

Responsibilities include directing production schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and leading supervisors to meet productivity and Lean goals while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of manufacturing/supervisory experience, preferably heavy industrial.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean techniques, and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks; ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals

Responsibilities

• Direct production schedules, staffing, and materials/inventory management
• Coordinate with Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production Planning on schedules, supplier relationships, and product improvements
• Lead supervisors and manufacturing engineers to meet productivity, efficiency, and Lean goals
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Manage performance evaluations, coaching, and personnel actions for direct reports
• Analyze operational results against budget/forecast
