Job summary

Alamo Group in Richmond, VA seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Old Dominion Brush Company LLC (ODB) and NiteHawk engineering teams. This leader will drive design and manufacturing activities, develop products, and ensure cost, quality, and on-time delivery across programs.

The position requires directing CAD design, documentation, BOMs, and tooling, while applying Lean and JIT methods to improve throughput and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in product design and development.
• 2–3 years supervisory experience in project management and budgeting.
• Minimum of 5 years in a related manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and manufacturing engineering efforts for new and existing products.
• Oversee CAD design, documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
• Implement lean manufacturing methods to reduce costs and improve throughput.
• Develop short- and long-term manufacturing strategies and capital plans.
• Manage budgets and supervise manufacturing engineers.
• Coordinate prototypes, tooling, and production ramp-up.
