Job summary

PLA and its Family of Companies is seeking an Operations Manager in Midlothian, TX. You will oversee a high-volume reverse logistics site, directing a team of 20–50 supervisors and frontline staff, ensuring accurate disposition and throughput while driving customer satisfaction.

This hands-on leadership role requires a robust operations background, strong safety focus, and a drive to own site performance and growth opportunities from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, supply chain or related field.
• 3+ years of operations, site or warehouse management experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams of 20+ employees.
• Direct experience with P&L or cost-center management.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Hands-on problem-solving approach to operational issues.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and develop a team of 20+ onsite supervisors and frontline employees.
• Provide daily hands-on leadership to foster a safety-first, high-performance culture.
• Serve as primary on-site contact for Walmart DC leadership to ensure service and inventory flow.
• Oversee daily warehouse, production, and pallet operations, including sorting and distribution.
• Manage facility layout and storage, maximizing space and material movement.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to safety policies and environmental standards.
• Troubleshoot operational, safety, or personnel issues and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with Regional Managers and VPs to manage P&L and control costs.
• Conduct audits, inventory checks, and ensure audit-ready facilities.
• Prepare and analyze reports to track production metrics and site profitability.
