Job summary

The Assistant Director of Operations at UC Berkeley oversees operations leadership for Levy’s hospitality team, ensuring guest satisfaction, safety, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is an experienced food and beverage leader and a strong coach who can drive execution and performance.

Responsibilities include partnering with location teams, achieving budgets, coaching managers, and maintaining high safety and sanitation standards while advancing the location’s food story and guest

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience, preferred.
• Strong work ethic and initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent stress management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and drive continual improvement in location operations.
• Build strong partnerships with location partners and vendors.
• Deliver against financial goals and budgets.
• Coach the operations management team and conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee safety and sanitation across the location and ensure high guest experience standards.
• Develop action plans to achieve business goals and drive menu development.
