Job summary

Gold Star Foods is seeking an Operations Manager to supervise daily facility operations, drive efficiency, and ensure safety, quality, and budget adherence across all departments. The role demands a hands-on leader who can optimize processes and build strong cross-functional teams.

As part of the Operations team, you will forecast budgets, manage labor, monitor performance metrics, and implement continuous improvements to meet and exceed organizational goals while maintaining a safe, clean work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
• 5+ years of extensive warehouse operations management experience.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• CDL A license required.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Schedule labor to support purchasing and sales departments.
• Manage the facility P&L and budget attainment.
• Establish metrics and standards to evaluate efficiency.
• Forecast and prepare operating budget using historical data.
• Identify and implement short- and long-term strategic needs.
• Oversee business planning, disaster planning and risk management.
• Control operating expenses and shrinkage; investigate discrepancies.
• Improve customer service via policy and procedural changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Develop and administer safety incentive programs.
• Manage workers’ compensation costs through proactive safety training.
• Supervise management and staff; foster leadership and development.
• Promote training and development for staff growth.
• Create team-oriented atmosphere focused on common goals.
• Chair roundtable discussions to educate and boost morale.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making to address issues.
