Job summary

Rail Modal Group in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking an Operations Lead to oversee terminal operations, manage a team of Clerks, Operations Associates, and a Yard Driver, and ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

The Lead will drive daily performance, coordinate loading of cargo, shuttle wagon operations, transload processes, and yard organization, aligning with leadership to scale the terminal as the operation grows and meets customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment operations or agriculture.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, reporting systems, and terminal operating systems.
• Ability to occasionally lift over 50 lbs and push/pull up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform all site operations safely and efficiently, following company standards and best practices.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections on all equipment prior to operation.
• Safely operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Help relay and achieve daily operational goals set by leadership.
• Develop a thorough understanding of yard layout.
• Immediately report any damage, accidents, or injuries to leadership.
• Train new employees joining the operations teams.
• Manage employees including scheduling, coaching, training, and policy adherence.
• Support any operational needs as necessary.
