Job summary

Rail Modal Group is seeking an Operations Lead in Oklahoma City, OK to oversee terminal operations and lead a team of Clerks, Operations Associates, and a Yard Driver. This hands-on role ensures safe, efficient movement of agricultural products, daily performance, and scalable growth across the terminal.

The Lead coordinates loading, shuttle wagon operations, transload processes, and yard organization while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years’ experience in heavy equipment operations or agriculture.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, reporting systems, and terminal operating systems.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and push/pull up to 80 lbs; climb ladders.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site operations are performed safely and efficiently according to standards.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections on equipment before operation.
• Safely operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Lead and support daily operational goals set by leadership.
• Understand yard layout and optimize space usage.
• Report damages, accidents, or injuries promptly to leadership.
• Train new employees joining the operations team.
• Manage scheduling, coaching, and adherence to policies for staff.
• Support ongoing operational needs as required.
