Job summary

Saia Inc. in Oklahoma City seeks a qualified supervisor to oversee terminal operations, including loading, unloading, sorting, and dock activities, while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.

You will direct dockworkers, inspect daily operations, train staff on procedures, and review reports to improve efficiency. Strong DOT knowledge and forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Read, write, communicate and comprehend English to perform duties and complete shipping documents, reports and records.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safe and efficient dock operations for all terminal staff.
• Directs and evaluates dockworkers to ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to procedures.
• Conducts daily inspections to maintain compliance with company policies and DOT standards.
• Trains and coaches dockworkers on safety, operational performance, customer service and equipment usage.
• Reviews operational reports and provides recommendations to improve terminal efficiency and service.
• Promotes and enforces a safe, clean, and organized dock environment.
