Job summary

Brave Books LLC in Conroe, Texas, United States seeks an Operations Strategist to extend the Director of Operations, coach teams, and free bandwidth for higher‑level work. You’ll own projects end‑to‑end, coach sub-teams, and translate strategy into actionable plans.

You’ll help build scalable infrastructure, establish role standards and processes, and make delegated decisions to drive efficiency as Brave Books grows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in operations, project management, consulting, or a generalist 'chief of staff / right hand' type role
• A track record of owning at least one significant cross-functional project end-to-end — scoped, built, driven, and accountable
• Direct experience developing people (formal management or informal coaching/mentoring)
• Comfort operating in ambiguity — can turn vague priorities into a plan without a playbook
• Strong written communication and ability to synthesize messy information into clear recommendations
• Experience building operational infrastructure from scratch (processes, role standards, comp structures, systems)
• Exposure to a high-volume, fast-cycle business model
• Comfort with data and basic financial modeling

Responsibilities

• Project ownership: End-to-end ownership of initiatives the Director of Operations would normally handle.
• Team leadership: Assist with leading and coaching sub-teams inside Operations, developing managers.
• Execution of strategy: Turn strategic priorities into real operating plans with clear owners and deadlines.
• Institutional infrastructure: Build backbone for scaling with role standards, processes, and systems.
• Delegated decision-making: Make decisions within delegated authority and escalate when needed.
