Job summary

OCI-Alabama-LL seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead multiple teams, prioritise safety, environmental compliance, quality assurance, and production targets while driving cost optimization. You will plan and supervise daily work, communicate goals during shifts, and enforce policies to maintain a disciplined, safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and prioritizes work among teams to insure safety, environmental compliance, quality assurance, production demands and cost optimization.
• Thoroughly communicate activities, goals, and targets during work shift and at shift change.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including team discipline and documentation working with the Operations Manager and other Operations Supervisors.
• Promptly informs manager of problems and takes corrective action, or suggests alternatives.
• Recommends and performs supervisory functions to manage personnel effectively.
• Enforces all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains positive working relations to promote morale, productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee work order tracking and issuing.
• Oversee monitoring of equipment, process conditions, DCS and data.
• Continuous improvement through procedure updates, and SPC.
• Understand data relationships to process conditions upstream and downstream.
• Maintain communication with maintenance during start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting, and normal operations.
• Active liaison to contractors, including expulsion from site if necessary.
• Stop any activity that could injure personnel or harm environment.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Site Management.
