Job summary

OCI Alabama, a chemical manufacturing plant, seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee the operations technicians, coordinating daily activities to keep the plant running safely and efficiently. Qualifications

• Good communications skills including written and verbal assignments.
• Internal candidates should be qualified as a Material Handler, Field Technician, Lab Technician and Control Board Operator.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and/or business with 2+ years in supervision in a chemical manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and prioritizes work among teams to ensure safety, environmental compliance, quality, production demands and cost optimization.
• Communicates activities, goals, and targets during shifts and at shift changes.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and safety requirements; coordinates with the Operations Manager and Supervisors.
• Keeps management informed of issues and takes corrective action or suggests alternatives.
• Oversees work order tracking and equipment process monitoring; drives continuous improvement.
