Roastify, an FDA-registered coffee roasting and e-commerce fulfillment company, seeks an Operations Lead to run Print & Shipping day-to-day. You’ll work on the floor, prepping, printing, packing, and shipping while setting priorities and guiding a small team to keep orders on time and up to standard.

You’ll own quality, stock, and safety records, drive process improvements, and grow with a close-knit team toward broader operations responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented and reliable with a food-safety mindset; FDA/HACCP training provided.
• Experience leading a small team on a production floor and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving to prevent late shipments.
• Comfort with data entry and accurate logging in systems.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on feet during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Open and set up the production floor each day, prep, print, die-cut, glue, and label for on-time shipping.
• Build and organize the day's jobs and print queues in the order system; prioritize by ship-by date.
• Pack and ship daily e-commerce and wholesale orders; handle exceptions and payment holds.
• Own quality control for all outgoing products: correct item, count, and artwork alignment.
• Operate and troubleshoot production equipment (label printers, die-cutter, glue machine, band sealer).
• Track and reorder shipping supplies so the floor stays stocked.
• Lead, train, and coach the shipping team; maintain steady flow under deadlines.
• Maintain sanitation and FDA/HACCP records; ensure audit-ready documentation.
• Coordinate with roasting side on incoming orders and needs.

Roastify is a small, FDA-registered coffee roasting and e-commerce fulfillment company, and we're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Operations Lead to run our Print & Shipping side day to day. This is a working lead role — you'll be on the floor prepping, printing, packing, and shipping orders while also setting the day's priorities, keeping a small team moving, and making sure everything that leaves the shop is on time and up to standard. You'll own quality, stock, and safety record-keeping for your area, and you'll help us keep improving how orders get out the door. It's a real opportunity to take ownership of an operation and grow with a close-knit team, with a clear path toward a broader Operations role over time.

Responsibilities

• Open and set up the production floor each day - prep, print, die-cut, glue, and label so orders are ready to ship on time
• Build and organize the day's jobs and print queues in our order system; prioritize by ship-by date and flag rush or at-risk orders early
• Pack and ship daily e-commerce and wholesale orders accurately, and handle order exceptions - address issues, artwork problems, payment holds, and special manual orders
• Own quality control on everything leaving the shop: correct product, correct count, artwork aligned and up to standard
• Operate and do first-line troubleshooting and upkeep on production equipment (label printers, die-cutter, glue machine, band sealer)
• Track and reorder shipping and packaging supplies so the floor never runs short
• Lead, train, and coach the shipping team; keep the day moving and unblock people
• Own daily and weekly sanitation and FDA/HACCP cleaning records in our compliance system, keeping food-safety documentation complete and audit-ready
• Coordinate with the roasting side on incoming orders and what's needed

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and reliable, with a food-safety mindset - or eagerness to learn FDA/HACCP sanitation practices (we'll train the right person)
• Comfortable learning our internal order and fulfillment software; accurate, consistent logging and data entry is essential to the role
• Hands-on aptitude with production equipment; mechanically comfortable and willing to troubleshoot
• Able to lead and coach a small team, organize the day's priorities, and stay steady under shipping deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving - proactive about catching issues before they become late shipments
• Able to lift up to ~50 lbs occasionally (boxes, coffee, supplies) and stay on your feet and moving through a shift
• Bonus: experience in coffee, food/beverage production, e-commerce fulfillment, or small-batch manufacturing
