Job summary

Suddath is seeking a Operations Support role to back the Operations Manager across a West Columbia location. The position focuses on staffing, customer relations, and performance oversight for the operation.

The role emphasizes candidate recruitment, adherence to policies, and budget-aligned planning with the Operations Manager, including involvement in negotiations and vendor management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Four-year college degree in Business, Supply Chain Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in transportation, logistics, or related industry required.
• Dispatch experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Manager in staffing, customer relations, performance and direction of the operation.
• Assist in recruitment and development of staff and Independent Contractors.
• Ensure policies and procedures are enforced and consistently implemented.
• Coordinate negotiations with Vendors, Contractors, and Service Providers to secure best value.
