Job summary

National Health Foundation is seeking an Operations Manager in Glendale, CA to oversee guest services and operational systems. The role includes staff training, safety, crisis intervention, and collaboration with leadership to ensure safety, efficiency, and high guest satisfaction.

The position requires supervision experience, a bachelor's degree preferred, and strong communication skills to manage diverse teams and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years’ supervisory experience with mentoring and coaching staff.
• Knowledge of NFPA, EPA, OSHA regulations preferred but not required.
• Current BLS certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Experience in residential treatment, mental health, substance abuse, or homeless shelter preferred.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills required.
• Ability to multi-task, solve problems, meet deadlines, and manage a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, guests, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, assign tasks, coach and train the team to meet company standards.
• Coordinate guest meals and menus with emphasis on Harm Reduction practices.
• Train reports to respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as required.
• Ensure timely completion of incident reports and related documentation.
• Develop and monitor health and safety measures, including evacuation procedures.
• Collaborate with leadership to share updates and manage budget oversight.
• Conduct weekly site safety inspections and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage guest care quality and census.
