Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a capable leader to supervise complex construction, maintenance, and operation of the electric transmission and distribution system in Pennsylvania. The role requires directing technical teams, ensuring safety, and aligning with union and management.

You will provide guidance, manage budgets, and drive performance improvements while upholding FirstEnergy's safety, DEI, and customer service values.

Qualifications

• Seven years in electric utility industry with leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; in lieu of degree, equivalent training/experience.
• Experience administering collective bargaining agreements and HR policies.
• Lead teams through change with trust and integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Foster a high-performing safety culture where employees own and reinforce safe behaviors.
• Establish relationships with peers, staff, and union leadership to support safety, compliance and inclusion.
• Initiate and monitor safety and environmental safeguards per regulations and practice.
• Lead management team in setting goals, priorities, and problem resolution.
• Plan, organize, control, and evaluate the work of the operational group.
• Coordinate response efforts and emergency outage restoration processes.
