Job summary

Cardinal Health’s Summer Internship Program offers a 10-12 week hands-on experience for undergraduate students entering their senior year. Interns collaborate with professionals on meaningful projects, participate in mentoring, and present their work to business leaders.

Location is Lakeland, FL with an approximate 40-hour work week. Start dates are May 17 or 24, 2027, and successful interns may interview for full-time roles after completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Graduation between December 2027 and June 2028 is preferred.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles or Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Participation in extracurricular activities and organizations.
• Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes.
• Document and present solutions to site leadership to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity.
• Assist and collaborate with leaders in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and related functions.
• Support daily warehouse operations and exposure to order processing, quality checks, packing and shipment preparation.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Analyze existing KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and document workflows to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Identify and develop reporting and data visualization capabilities for metrics.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work on the warehouse floor daily to observe and enhance processes.
