Job summary

Cardinal Health offers a Summer Intern program in Montgomery, NY. The Operations Intern role provides hands-on experience with real projects, mentoring, and exposure to leadership.

You will contribute to process improvements while developing professional skills and exploring full-time career paths within the company. The program runs for 10–12 weeks with approximately 40 hours per week, starting May 17 or 24, 2027, on-site at a Cardinal Health facility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and process improvement techniques preferred.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment; strong leadership and analytical skills.
• Must have unlimited US work authorization without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes.
• Document and present solutions to site leadership to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity metrics.
• Assist warehouse teams across receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, and storage.
• Support daily operations to optimize workflow and increase productivity.
• Gain cross-training across multiple areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Analyze KPIs and design workflows to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Develop reporting capabilities and data visualization for metrics.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work on the warehouse floor daily to observe and improve processes.
