Job summary

Cardinal Health is offering a Summer 2027 Internship Program in Valencia, CA for undergraduate students entering their senior year. The Operations Intern role provides hands-on project work, mentoring, and leadership development with exposure to the healthcare supply chain.

Start dates May 17 or 24, 2027, with ~40 hours per week for 10 weeks. Pay rate is $23.00 per hour, with medical, dental, and vision benefits and other HR programs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Knowledge of supply chain principles or improvement techniques is preferred
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes
• Document and present solutions to site leadership to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity
• Assist and collaborate with leaders in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery
• Support daily warehouse operations and increase productivity
• Assist in processing orders, including picking, quality checks, packing, and shipment prep
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects
• Analyze KPIs and design workflows to ensure operational effectiveness
• Develop reporting capabilities and data visualization tools to analyze metrics
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work on the warehouse floor daily to observe and improve processes
