Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in York, PA, is seeking an Operations Internship for Fall 2026. Under close supervision, you will assist with customers on providing transportation/logistics services and gain exposure to basic transportation management.

You will participate in daily operational tasks such as planning of freight, asset utilization, safety, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis while learning industry trends and JB Hunt initiatives related to driver retention.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including freight planning and asset utilization.
• Understand industry trends and JB Hunt initiatives related to driver retention.
• Perform account-specific duties as required by the customer.
• Other related duties as assigned.
