Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC seeks a strategic Vice President of Operations to lead Print-on-Demand, custom framing, manufacturing, fulfillment, and distribution across the United States and Canada. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape operational strategy, drive profitability, and build high-performing teams while championing Lean and continuous improvement.

The role requires 10+ years of leadership in multi-site manufacturing, strong financial acumen, and hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• MBA is an asset.
• 10+ years progressive operations leadership experience in manufacturing or production.
• Senior executive or multi-site leadership experience (5+ years).
• Proven ability to scale manufacturing, improve profitability, and drive performance.
• Experience in budgeting, capital expenditures, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the operational strategy aligned with goals, growth, and financial objectives.
• Oversee manufacturing and distribution facilities in Canada and the US, incl. POD, framing, production, fulfillment, and Supply Chain.
• Lead end-to-end POD operations: printing, cutting, finishing, assembly, packaging, and fulfillment.
• Coach and develop Distribution Center Leaders and ops teams; drive accountability and results.
• Collaborate with CEO and ELT to set strategic priorities and long-term growth plans.
• Manage budgets, capex, labor costs, and resource allocation for profitability.
• Monitor KPIs: production output, capacity, labor productivity, equipment utilization, waste, quality, on-time delivery.
• Use data to drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
• Create scalable production strategies for rising order volumes and expansion.
• Champion Lean, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement across facilities.
• Identify investments in automation, technology, and infrastructure for efficiency.
• Establish SOPs, quality standards, and best practices across sites.
• Oversee Supply Chain, inventory, procurement, and production planning for efficiency.
• Lead ERP implementations and transform operations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, IT to align ops with objectives and expectations.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and company policies.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and values.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by the CEO
