Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Asheville, NC, seeks an Operations Excellence (OPEX) Manager for our Avery Creek facility. This role drives the Eaton Business System, Lean Six Sigma deployment, and PROLaunch-based improvements to achieve cost and quality goals.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified US residents. The role requires a engineering degree, 5 years in manufacturing/engineering, and at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Five years of progressive experience in manufacturing and/or engineering.
• One year of leadership experience, such as Project Management, Product or Process Improvement/Implementation.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Drive continual improvement through the Eaton Business System at the facility.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma deployment via training, facilitation, and deployment resources.
• Advance project management capability through the PROLaunch process.
• Eliminate process variations via 8-D, Six Sigma, ELS, and other wastes; improve method sheets with engineering.
• Lead leadership system discipline to drive operational performance.
• Manage the capital appropriation process and forecast expenditures to maximize plant capabilities.
• Oversee manufacturing engineering for process ownership and industrialization of launches.
• Direct continuous improvement team with focus on Lean Material Flow, problem solving, and standard work.
• Coordinate project launches with engineering, operations, and supply chain to meet deadlines.
