Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Industrial Engineering Consultant to optimize client operations in the Eastern Cape on a project basis. The role calls for deep expertise in diagnosing issues and delivering actionable improvement plans across facilities.

You will apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies, collaborate with client teams, and transfer knowledge to ensure sustainable improvements and measurable cost savings across engagements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with a significant portion in a consulting or advisory capacity.
• Proven expertise in diagnosing operational challenges and implementing impactful process improvements.
• Strong command of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Outstanding client-facing communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client's existing industrial and operational processes.
• Identify key areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations and implementation roadmaps to client stakeholders.
• Utilize advanced Lean Six Sigma methodologies to design and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with client teams to facilitate the successful implementation of agreed-upon improvements.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to client personnel to ensure sustainability of changes.
