Placements24 is seeking an Operations Excellence Engineer for a prominent mining support services client in Welkom, SA. The role focuses on driving Lean Six Sigma initiatives to boost efficiency and cut costs across operations.

You will lead projects, map processes, analyze data, and embed a culture of continuous improvement with site leadership, delivering measurable performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in operations improvement, process engineering, or similar.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification desired.
• Strong skills in process mapping and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains across the organization.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects from conception to completion.
• Develop and implement standard work procedures and best practices.
• Analyze data to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions.
• Train and mentor staff on Lean Six Sigma tools.
• Conduct process audits and KPI tracking to ensure standards.
