Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. offers an Operations Engineering internship on-site across multiple U.S. locations.

Interns will work with technicians and salaried staff to learn manufacturing processes, collect data, and drive feasible process improvements. You will manage projects end-to-end, communicate results, and develop reporting. Open to rising sophomores, juniors or seniors in engineering. Qualifications

• Current or soon-to-be engineering student (sophomore–senior).
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Willingness to work in office and plant environments and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technicians to identify process improvement opportunities on the plant floor.
• Coordinate activities of contractors, hourly technicians, and other resources.
• Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results.
• Manage projects from scope development to implementation and verification.
• Collect and analyze data to drive improvements with both salaried staff and technicians.
