Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical support or production support role.
  • Background in Java application development and/or support, with experience in Java 17 or later.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot APIs and PostgreSQL.
  • Working knowledge of Apache Kafka.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix, networking fundamentals, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and REST APIs.
  • Experience using logging, monitoring, or observability tools such as Grafana and Kibana.
  • Familiarity with ticketing and collaboration platforms such as Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong ownership, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor applications and respond to technical alerts during scheduled on-call coverage across weekdays and weekends.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues across applications, APIs, integrations, databases, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Review logs, error messages, system behavior, and monitoring data to identify root causes and support timely resolution.
  • Reproduce customer-reported issues and document findings clearly for engineering and product partners.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, product, infrastructure, and support teams to address high-impact incidents.
  • Escalate defects with detailed reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and technical context.
  • Support APIs and third-party integrations, including configuration and implementation questions.
  • Manage support cases from investigation through resolution while keeping stakeholders informed with accurate updates.
  • Create and maintain troubleshooting documentation, runbooks, knowledge-base articles, and technical guides.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to product behavior, tooling, documentation, and support processes.
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
  • Build monitors, recovery processes, and analysis tools that help strengthen reliability and observability.

  • Ability to build scripts or internal tools that improve support efficiency.
