Job summary

NEFCO is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead branch logistics activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and delivery routing. The role requires directing warehouse operations, improving productivity, and coordinating with customer service and quality teams.

The position emphasizes data-driven decisions, leadership of Supervisors and Drivers, and ensuring safe, efficient daily performance in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial warehousing/distribution operations experience.
• Effective communicator up, down and across the organization.
• Ability to lead, coach, delegate and mentor Supervisors, Associates, and Drivers.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to leverage data and metrics to drive improvements.
• High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Ability to review system images, reports, and documents.
• Experience with Eclipse ERP software preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented, hands-on, multi-tasking in fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Direct, optimize, and coordinate all warehouse activity.
• Actively manage P&L expenses, quality, productivity, staffing, safety, capacity, and product flow.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement using metrics, training, and coaching.
• Maintain open communications with operations personnel as needed.
• Support Customer Service, QA/QC, and Inventory Control as needed.
• Monitor branch review queue and inbound/outbound/product questions.
• Oversee cross-dock and transfer situations as they arise.
• Address and solve general branch issues as they arise.
• Ensure all parcel shipments are processed timely and accurately.
