Job summary

TransWest in Seattle is seeking an Operations Manager for Resource Planning to lead the Dispatch and Scheduling teams and ensure high-quality service delivery. You will oversee driver check-in/out, performance reporting, and cross-functional collaboration for new service launches and route changes.

The role requires strong operational planning, KPI development, payroll oversight, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, DOT-regulated transportation environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in transportation operations or workforce scheduling.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role overseeing dispatch/scheduling teams.
• Proven track record in operational planning or route launches.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (Training, Safety, Compliance, IT, Finance).
• Payroll workflows, timekeeping, or schedule templates experience preferred.
• Data-driven operations, KPI development, and operational reporting required.
• Background in transportation, logistics, shuttle/bus operations, or a DOT-regulated environment preferred.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours and in outdoor environments when needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and execute operational plans for current and new service lines, including schedules, routes, vehicle and driver assignments.
• Monitor data for efficiency; identify performance issues and notify leadership; maintain 98% on-time performance.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports and develop KPIs; input data into databases and tracking tools.
• Support Driver KPI-based incentive programs and communicate results to drivers.
• Develop scheduling templates, coach teams, and create succession plans.
• Ensure accurate payroll processing and alignment of scheduling templates with policy.
• Maintain online tools for accurate tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with Safety, Training, Compliance, Program Management, and IT teams.
• Provide strategic direction for Dispatch and Scheduling teams and lead team meetings.
