Job summary

First Command seeks a Deputy Director of Operations to lead execution of recruiting, marketing, advisor development and client experience strategies across the division. You will drive advisor headcount growth, market expansion, and operational excellence by translating strategy into coordinated, measurable actions with VPDO and DAO support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in financial services, recruiting, marketing, sales leadership, or related field.
• Proven success as financial advisor or equivalent.
• Experience recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining talent.
• Ability to lead in virtual, hybrid, and in-person environments.

Responsibilities

• Support District Advisors in executing district business plans with coordination, coaching, and resources.
• Develop and execute division recruiting and marketing plans aligned with enterprise strategy and growth objectives.
• Strengthen recruiting pipelines via military outreach, partnerships, digital sourcing, referrals, and sponsorships.
• Coordinate advisor sourcing, interviewing, licensing, onboarding, and pipeline management.
• Train and coach Fast Start Advisors through their early career, including academy prep and progress monitoring.
• Share best practices and guidance on market penetration, referrals, and community engagement.
• Lead division client experience initiatives and uphold brand and service standards.
• Drive adoption of compliance initiatives and approved tools across recruiting, marketing, and business technology.
• Provide field insights to Home Office and align enterprise initiatives with division execution.
• Establish accountability for performance, headcount growth, and sales results across the division.
• Travel to district offices as needed.
