Confidential, a family-owned children's apparel wholesale company with 30+ years in business, seeks a Director of Operations to lead day-to-day operations, strengthen controls, modernize systems, and drive growth. This is a hands-on leadership role with broad authority to establish procedures and performance metrics.

The Director reports to the President and works with merchandising, production, logistics, sales support, finance, technology, and administration to ensure execution and continuous

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of operations experience in wholesale apparel.
• Strong knowledge of overseas production, importing, inventory and logistics.
• Experience with ERP, PLM, accounting software, databases, AI/automation.
• Proven track record leading change in private or entrepreneurial settings.
• Able to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistics, supply chain, inventory ops, and vendor relationships.
• Manage flow from PO issuance through importing, receipt, allocation, and delivery.
• Supervise orders, bookings, imports, customs, EDI, and invoicing.
• Establish KPIs: inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, margins, productivity.
• Lead ERP/PLM/EDI/system optimization with finance and IT partners.
• Support hiring, training, and performance management for ops teams.
• Manage relationships with vendors, freight providers, and 3PLs.
