Position Summary
The Director of Wholesale will be responsible for developing and executing the wholesale business strategy, overseeing key accounts, and expanding the brand’s market share with a focus on building strong relationships with retail partners and delivering profitable growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 2-year wholesale multi-category plan for growth and expansion through existing and new distribution channels across department stores and specialty stores.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with existing and prospective retail partners. Develop account-specific strategies to responsibly grow wholesale.
- Develop and execute on a Key Account strategy that prioritizes the growth and service of our most essential partners.
- Set, distribute, monitor, and manage seasonal and annual sales plans
- Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to accelerate the success of the wholesale strategy as well as contribute to the overall company strategic plan.
- Partner with Planning on monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting process, providing vetted and validated accuracy inputs on re-forecasting process.
- Partner with Product to ensure product feedback, future input, and channel/account specific needs are communicated clearly and regularly.
- Oversee the management of a B2B order entry platform NuOrder
- Provide consistent sell-through reporting from key accounts to relevant stakeholders within the business.
- Partner with Operations on the timely allocation and fulfilment of orders both through our 3PL operation as well as vertically.
- Oversee the logistical aspects of wholesale distribution, ensuring on-time deliveries
- Partner with marketing on all wholesale-relevant Go To Market plans, tradeshows, campaigns, in-store buildout, fixture, POP, etc. execution.
What Success Looks Like
- Proved track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in an entrepreneurial environment
- Inspiring communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel on an ad hoc basis domestically.
- Well organized with strong time management and prioritization capability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel & PowerPoint.
- Have previous experience and a reasonable level of familiarity working on ERP systems.
- Strong self-motivator, ability to self-manage under times of change and evolvement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior Sales Management position.
- 10+ years’ experience and exposure to Sales, Product, and Marketing within the Men’s Apparel industry preferred.
- Established and verifiable track record of strong relationships with key wholesale accounts across multiple channels.
Salary $150,000-$175,000
