The Client:

JBAndrews are working closely with a rapidly growing food ingredients company who have seen extreme growth over the past few years. They are seeking an Operations Director to help take over the operations responsibility and apply improvements to help execute their next 5 strategic plan.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will need a high level of commercial, operational and financial business expertise. Not only being self-motivated but also need to be confident, a rounded thinker, resilient, optimistic and a leader. They must be prepared to proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere, embrace and personal challenges and encourage others to be the best they can be.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to company strategy and lead development in the areas of productivity, purchasing and logistics to ensure that the company achieves all of its short and long-term objectives
• Ensure that all processes and procedures are in place to conform to the business's overall objectives of growth, HSE and operational employee training and development
• Prepare operational budgets, schedules and any other operational documents that are required by the business
• Control the budget for operations, while ensuring that the departments have all the resources required to meet their objectives within agreed financial constraints
• Work with the management team to set up goals that promote the productivity growth of the business
• Develop plans and strategies to promote the cross functional culture development of continuous improvement, focusing on improving productivity and eliminating unnecessary none value add costs
• Manages staff selection , performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
• Promote and ensure health, safety and wellbeing across the business
• Oversee Production, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain & Logistics departments and functions.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience
• Flexibility to be on site 100%
• Experience managing teams across numerous functions
• Preferably an Engineering or Science/Food related Degree
• Previous experience working in Food Ingredients operations
