Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated Operations Intern in Phoenix, AZ for May/June through August/September 2027. In this hands-on role, you’ll support manufacturing throughput, data analysis, reporting, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple departments.

You will build dashboards, analyze operational data, and contribute to projects that improve efficiency and decision making.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in industrial engineering, supply chain, or operations management.
• Minimum GPA 3.1; transcripts may be requested.
• At least 1 year of undergraduate study completed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Exposure to Lean Six Sigma tools (Kaizen, VSM, 5Y analysis).
• Exposure to MRP concepts, forecasting, or inventory management.
• Leadership demonstrated in clubs or teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily operational tasks related to manufacturing throughput and production coordination.
• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for Operations leadership.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement focusing on workflow efficiency and data accuracy.
• Support documentation updates, standard work, and cross-team alignment.
