Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an Operations Intern to support manufacturing throughput, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives at our Phoenix, AZ site. You will collect and analyze operational data, build dashboards, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Programs teams to drive efficiency and reliability.

This paid internship runs May/June through August/September 2027, with a 9/80 schedule option and full-time equivalent consideration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, or related field.
• GPA minimum 3.1; transcripts may be requested.
• Completed at least 1 year of undergraduate studies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).
• Familiar with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to Lean Six Sigma tools and MRP concepts encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operational tasks related to manufacturing throughput and production coordination.
• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to improve visibility and support decision-making.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for Operations leadership.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on workflow efficiency and data accuracy.
• Support documentation updates, standard work, and procedures for alignment across teams.
