Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a data analytics professional to build dashboards, automate reporting, and drive data-driven decisions across workforce and operations.

You will partner with the Data Infrastructure and Governance teams, maintain data dictionaries, and ensure data quality, privacy, and accessibility while translating complex data into clear insights for nontechnical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Foundational experience working with data reporting and visualization through internships, academic projects, or entrylevel professional roles.
• Basic understanding of data concepts such as data governance, data quality, metrics, and reporting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and explain data clearly to nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate with crossfunctional teams in a fastpaced environment.
• Professional proficiency in MS Office suite, including Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, basic data validation) and comfort working with structured datasets.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Build dashboards, reports, and automate processes by collaborating with business partners to understand reporting needs and implement data-driven improvements.
• Develop and maintain a data dictionary documenting metrics, data sources, and calculation methodologies.
• Partner with Data Infrastructure to define reporting requirements and data models for self-service analytics.
• Review and analyze reports to ensure consistent metric definitions and data accuracy.
• Audit reports and distribution lists to verify access and enforce data privacy and governance.
• Maintain automations and develop additional processes for automated reporting and dashboard updates.
• Analyze data to identify trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations for workforce decisions.
• Respond to ad hoc data requests with clear summaries and visualizations to support informed decisions.
• Support data literacy by helping teams interpret data in compliance with standards and guidelines.
• Document data ownership, definitions, and usage standards to promote data quality and accountability.
• Monitor data quality and collaborate with system owners to remediate issues.
• Define and enforce data standards with the Data Governance team.
