Job summary

Venture is seeking an organized Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day transportation operations in a fast-paced trucking environment. Working a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, you will connect drivers, customers, dispatch, planning, and leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

You will monitor service execution, resolve issues, maintain DOT compliance, and provide timely updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Experience in trucking or transportation preferred.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) like TMW preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service preferred.
• Experience communicating with drivers and customers in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation activities to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Serve as primary contact for drivers during shifts.
• Monitor routes and resolve service issues.
• Communicate shipment status to customers and brokers.
• Collaborate with dispatch and planning to optimize fleet utilization.
• Enter data in TMW and other systems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Support driver retention and safety initiatives.
• Assist with scheduling and schedule changes as needed.
• Prepare and distribute shift notes and reports.
