Job Title: Area Operations Manager
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ
Reporting To: District Operations Manager
Job Description

We're on the lookout for an Area Operations Manager to join our team! You'll be responsible for maintaining current accounts and acquiring new ones in your territory. Additionally, you'll oversee daily operations, supervise Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) and other reconditioning technicians, with a focus on effective planning and maximizing profitability. Travel will be required.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and grow existing customer accounts while seeking new business opportunities within your territory.
  2. Collaborate with the District Manager to plan and optimize technicians' schedules, helping them reach their earnings potential and ensuring territory profitability.
  3. Set and pursue monthly and annual sales goals in coordination with the District Manager.
  4. Support Hail Team operations during hail storms, focusing on existing relationships with dealerships and body shops.
  5. Promote and sell PDR for Profit programs.
  6. Assist technicians in providing excellent customer service and maximizing service drive billings.
Training
  1. Coordinate new hire orientation for smooth onboarding into the company and assigned accounts.
  2. Hold monthly meetings with Technicians to share sales tips and performance feedback.
  3. Ensure Technicians receive necessary support and training to enhance their PDR skills.
  4. Arrange advanced training sessions for Technicians.
People Management
  1. Lead and mentor Technicians, maintaining daily contact to address concerns and performance issues.
  2. Work with the District Manager to determine appropriate staffing levels for current and future business needs.
  3. Address employee performance issues proactively.
  4. Conduct performance reviews, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans.
  5. Complete administrative tasks such as invoicing and reporting call-in numbers promptly.
  6. Manage tool inventory within your territory.
  7. Schedule mobile retail PDR services by coordinating appointments between customers and Technicians.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and coach employees across multiple locations.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Experience in account management and/or sales in a service-based company preferred.
  • Automotive service experience is a plus.

The starting compensation for this position is expected to be between $23.00 and $26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.
