Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Maure, a New York-based luxury gifting brand, is seeking an Operations Coordinator to own the end-to-end product flow from purchase order to arrival. You will also manage the customer relationship after orders are placed, collaborating closely with the founder, e-commerce, and fulfillment teams.
This role covers manufacturing, purchasing, shipments, inventory, wholesale support, and custom orders, requiring strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset to keep processes running smoothly.
Maure is a New York-based luxury gifting brand founded by chef Maureen Cavalieri. We sell curated gift boxes and sets alongside several hundred individual pieces across kitchen and dining, home decor, fragrance and office — some designed and produced under our own label with specialist manufacturers in Europe, most sourced from makers and artisans around the world. Customers buy a ready-made box, build their own, or order pieces individually. We sell direct to customers through our own site, and wholesale to retailers through Faire. We are a small team, which means the work is broad, visible, and moves quickly.
We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to own the path our products take from purchase order to arrival, and to own the relationship our customers have with us once they have ordered.
This is a role with genuine breadth. On any given week you might be issuing a purchase order to a manufacturer in Europe, comparing freight quotes, making sure our customs broker has the documents they need, investigating why an inventory count does not reconcile, setting up a new product so it can be listed and labeled, and answering a customer who has a question about a gift they are sending. It suits someone who likes owning a whole process rather than a slice of one, and who finds satisfaction in things arriving correctly, counted accurately, and handled well.
You will work closely with our founder, our e-commerce and content lead, and our fulfillment team. You will be trained directly by the person who runs this side of the business today, and every process has been written up in detail — so you are stepping into something documented rather than being dropped in cold.
Running our customer inbox with increasing independence, comfortable across our systems, and resolving routine issues without escalation.
Owning inventory reporting, setting up new products end to end, and issuing purchase orders.
Running a full production and shipping cycle yourself — purchase order through freight, customs, delivery and receiving — with support rather than supervision.
This role gives you the whole lifecycle of a product: a purchase order to a manufacturer in Europe, freight and customs, receiving and inventory, wholesale accounts and custom orders, and finally someone opening a gift that was chosen carefully. That breadth is unusual at this level, and it comes with real decision-making authority from the start. In a business built on gifting, making sure things arrive correctly and on time is not a back-office function — it is the product.
