The role emphasizes routing accuracy, data reconciliation, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize production and labor costs. Strong Excel and ERP skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
• Proficient with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for maintaining accurate production routings in North America.
• Compare routings against production performance, batch sheets, confirmations, downtime, yield, and variance reports.
• Monthly deep dives to understand trends and biannual reviews.
• Ensure routings reflect correct steps, sequence, work center, labor/machine time, setup time, and standard rates.
• Review process/equipment/packaging/material changes for routing updates.
• Batch sheet reconciliation; analyze variances between dumped vs. packaged material.
• Reporting that captures batches and production pounds per man hour.
• Use Paycor or other reporting to understand overtime costs and track labor expenses.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings; share findings and support action items.
• Perform ad hoc analyses.

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator, who is responsible to execute and support the technical functions of the operation across North America. This employee will perform key SAP transactions, collect, and validate data that will be used to publish KPIs, and communicate across plants and shifts. This incumbent will be responsible to develop and drive innovation and continuous improvement throughout Operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support for maintaining accurate production routings in North America
• Compare routings against actual production performance, batch sheets, confirmations, downtime, yield, and variance reports
• This includes monthly deep dives to understand trends and biannual reviews
• Ensure each routing reflects the correct production steps, sequence, work center, labor/machine time, setup time, and standard rates
• Review any process, equipment, packaging, or material change that could require the routing to be updated
• Batch sheet reconciliation. Identify and understand variances in how much material was dumped into the system compared to how much was packaged.
• Reporting that captures batches and production pounds per man hour
• Utilize Paycor or different reporting to understand overtime costs and build reporting that tracks labor expenses
• Attend the daily stand-up meetings. Share key findings and support any actions items post meeting.
• Ad hoc analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant field required.
• Must be proficient with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Must be proficient with MS Office applications, specifically Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
