Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Junior Controller (Operations) to partner with the GWS Tool Group operations team and manufacturing locations. You will translate production and financial data into insights to improve cost performance, inventory accuracy, and working capital while collaborating with location leaders and procurement.

The role focuses on cost accounting, variance analysis, and preparing performance reviews in line with corporate reporting standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and variance analysis preferred.
Advanced Excel skills and ERP data analysis experience required; experience with Infor Visual ERP a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs by location, product, work order, or process to identify cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.
Investigate variances against standard cost, budgets, and forecasts; explain material usage, variances, labor efficiency, and overhead allocation.
Collaborate with plant leaders to validate findings, develop corrective actions, and track savings.
Review costing inputs, including BOMs, routings, labor/machine rates, and overhead methods; coordinate updates with operations and finance.
Develop operational KPIs and reporting for productivity, inventory, and working capital; present explanations and actions.
