At Better at Home LLC, we believe the best leaders lead by example. We are seeking an Operations & Care Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our agency. In this hybrid leadership role, you will run our daily office operations-managing schedules, ensuring compliance, and supporting our caregivers-while also stepping into the field to conduct supervisory visits and provide emergency direct care when your team needs backup.
If you are highly organized, empathetic, and thrive in an environment where no two days are exactly the same, this is your opportunity to shape the quality of care in your community.
Operational Leadership: Serve as the central communication hub. You will manage complex caregiver schedules, ensure shift coverage, maintain EMR records, and resolve day-to-day disputes with grace and professionalism.
Team Building: Drive the onboarding, orientation, and continuous training of our caregiver team, ensuring they feel supported and equipped to succeed.
Quality Assurance: Get out from behind the desk. You will conduct on-site supervisory visits, client assessments, and care plan reviews in the field.
Frontline Support: Act as the ultimate team player. When emergencies arise, you will step in to provide direct, hands-on personal care (ADLs, companionship, safe transfers) to ensure our clients never experience a lapse in care.
Healthcare Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on caregiving, home health, or hospital experience. (HHA certificate or similar credential highly preferred).
Administrative Chops: Proven experience in office management, staff scheduling, or care coordination. EMR/scheduling software proficiency is a must.
Agility & Willingness: The physical ability and willingness to step in for hands-on personal care (bathing, transferring, etc.) at a moment's notice.
Mobility: A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the flexibility to travel between our Wellington and Mentor service areas as business needs dictate.
Certifications: Current CPR Certification.
