Job summary

ISO New England is seeking an Operations Process Automation Developer intern to design and build custom software tools for the PMO department. The role involves coding in Python, R, or SQL, analyzing data, and automating processes to help the electric grid run smarter and faster.

Ideal candidates are juniors pursuing degrees in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering, with strong problem‑solving skills, relational database experience, and familiarity with multiple programming

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program.
• Completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled.
• Preferred majors include Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Review existing software and processes used by PMO teams to identify areas for improvement.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain bespoke software solutions.
• Perform occasional data analysis to support departmental decision-making.
• Collaborate with OAT staff and SOMA business teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
