Monthly Pay: $3,721 - $5,558 USD per month
Summary
An internal operations request arrives, gets checked, assigned, tracked, and closed with clear notes about the outcome. The Operations Associate supports this process so routine requests move forward without missing information or unclear ownership. This entry level role sits within the operations team, works under an operations team lead, and collaborates with requesters and colleagues across departments. The position is fully remote, offering desk-based work from home in North Carolina, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.
Job Responsibilities
- Review incoming requests from a shared email inbox and task queue, identifying the requested action, responsible department, and expected completion date.
- Check each request against established instructions, confirm required information is present, and ask the requester for missing details before proceeding.
- Create or update task entries in a project management tool such as Asana, recording ownership, priority, due dates, and current status.
- Complete routine operations tasks within assigned permissions, including updating internal task lists, confirming handoffs, and preparing standard request acknowledgments.
- Coordinate clarifications through a team collaboration platform such as Microsoft Teams, keeping relevant colleagues informed without duplicating requests across channels.
- Monitor open tasks and dependencies, follow up with assigned colleagues when updates are due, and flag approaching deadlines for review.
- Escalate conflicting instructions, repeated delays, or requests outside established procedures to the operations team lead, explaining what has already been checked.
- Compare completed work with the original request and checklist, resolve straightforward discrepancies, and obtain confirmation from the responsible colleague when needed.
- Close completed requests with concise outcome notes, notify the requester, and ensure unfinished actions remain assigned rather than disappearing from view.
- Maintain quality through accurate updates, timely turnaround, complete notes, and consistent follow-up; share recurring obstacles during team reviews to support practical improvements.
