OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER IN TRAINING

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Supporting hiring, training, and development of store associates.
• Performing opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Protecting and securing all company assets, including cash.
• Maintaining a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Maintaining store areas to company standards, including recovery efforts.
• When the Store Manager is absent, taking supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Processing directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Assisting with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensuring proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness of the store daily.
• Managing cashiering activities and cash handling practices.
• Overseeing promotional displays and seasonal areas.
• Coordinating signage and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintaining checkout area to maximize impulse sales and refilling coolers and displays daily.
• Assisting with weekly scheduling and managing the Drive Item program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
