Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager, with a main focus on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, up to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness on a daily basis.
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure compliance with cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and promotional displays.
• Manage seasonal areas and ensure merchandise replenishment, including coolers and storefront displays.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area for maximum impulse sales.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
